neighborhoods: Pointe Marin & Country Club (Novato Neighborhoods -- Year to Date Real Estate, July 30, 2010) - 08/03/10 04:28 AM
Southern Novato's Country Club and Pointe Marin neighborhoods are proving extremely desirable to buyers of Novato real estate so far in 2010. Below is a breakdown of all homes that have sold, are on the market, in escrow, or have expired so far in 2010.

neighborhoods: Why we Love Mill Valley CA - 05/01/09 03:25 PM
We ♥ MV
There are many reasons we ♥ Mill Valley ("MV") CA and here are a few of them:
A quick and easy commute to San Francisco often spectacular views of the Bay and Mt. Tam excellent schools pleasant weather a mellow, laid back ambiance a town square unlike any other in Marin (you have to go to the town of Sonoma for anything like it) the dog park diverse social events (think Mill Valley Film Festival) lots of good restaurants "The Song" Outdoor Art Center (my wife and I got married there) excellent shopping choices, including non-gentrified, family-owned boutiques and shops of all kinds virtually … (1 comments)

neighborhoods: Buying one of Marin Couny CA's Foreclosures = $8,000 Gift from the U.S. Government (First Time Homebuyers Credit) - 04/07/09 04:01 AM
While real estate has not proven to be a sterling short term investment for those who bought over the past few years, that tide is turning. Affordability is up. Interest rates are at ALL TIME LOWS!
And the government is providing an $8,000 tax credit (e.g., gift) that does not need to be re-paid. You can even apply that credit to your 2008 tax return!

neighborhoods: Tiburon & Belvedere Real Estate Market Report (February 2009 Home Sales Update) - 02/14/09 08:59 AM
The past few weeks have been glorious on the Tiburon Peninsula and Marin County. The sun was warm and the water azure. Even Carmen (our black lab, if you are curious) seemed content to stroll in a leisurely fashion, enjoying the afternoon. Afterwards we went over to the ice cream shop downtown, took our cones to the … (0 comments)

neighborhoods: Novato's Top 10 Reasons for Future Price Appreciation - 09/25/07 06:07 AM
Below are a few factors which point to Novato as a place with a bright future.
1) The widening of HWY 101, now in its final stage, is on target for a Fall 2008 completion. Because of current construction, traffic going south on HWY 101 can be bad. Traffic woes are expected to be reduced dramatically (by as much as 20 minutes from Novato to San Francisco -- and this is 20 off the commute time pre-construction when traffic was much lighter). I think this factor alone will propel prices upwards once work is done.
2) Schools. Marin has many great schools and school districts. Novato is no exception. When its schools are … (0 comments)
