clients: When NOT to be a homeowner
- 08/07/17 06:21 AM
Happy August! The title of this Blog might seem weird but I thought it might be worthy to point out that home ownership is not for everyone.....based on things I've experienced over my career. The obvious is don't purchase a Residential home if you despise outside work and maintenance. Most People I know actually love the thought of lawn cutting, trimming and pride of ownership in getting that " curb appeal", but there are some that don't. Don't buy on emotion, a real estate purchase is probably the biggest financial investment of one's life time so it should be entered (3 comments)
clients: How important is Networking?
- 07/05/17 05:14 AM
My Network consists of an approx 400 name database that I methodically send out personal notes to and because of being in the 17th yr of my Profession, it allows me the opportunity of referrals. I always keep building on that database thru Open house attendees, website sign ins, new clients, etc. I also have an email database of approx 1000 that I send out an ecard to monthly. Whether it be newsletters, Happy 4th of July, or just listed or just sold, it keeps me in their mind as someone to suggest or go to for real estate needs. Social Media plays a big (10 comments)
clients: Short Sales r everywhere
- 06/29/12 09:09 PM
In the current real estate mkt the phrase short sale is certainly a predominate one! When u r a Buyer’s Agent you cant help but run into them. My philosophy on them is that they r here to stay for a while so accept the challenges that come with them and look at it as another opportunity in the Entrepreneurial world of a Realtor. Buyers can certainly stand to gain as they may b able to “land” a home at well under the market value if they are patient. That seems to be the key word- patience. Given the fact that (0 comments)

- 06/15/12 03:50 AM
The rental mkt being what it is in this current time, is certainly an active part of the business. Last yr, it was active, also, and I believe I ended up doing 7-8 transactions, which add up over qty. Yes, the payoff in the end, with today’s gas prices, might pay for a couple of tank fulls! You know what, SO WHAT- Realtor’s ethical standards dictate that the Clients needs/ wants should come first, and if that happens to be a rental, we should honor it. I have built some great relationships with Renters, that may some day turn into Buyers or (2 comments)
clients: Multi- Tasker
- 10/26/11 09:25 AM
Being in the profession of Real Estate, it is certainly a necessity to be a multi-tasker. I often wonder, was I this way prior to getting into this Biz? Whether or not, a person has to have this trait in their genes, to tap into for “realtorship.” I may be biased, but perfecting this human ability, assists u in life, in general. To be able to put things in order of importance, and carrying them out, goes beyond the real estate world and being successful. We live in an amazing world of technology, that is supportive of perfecting such a trait. (2 comments)
clients: Real Estate & Relationships
- 07/10/11 07:04 AM
Embarking on what soon will be my start of the 12th yr in business, I am astounded by the amount of new friendships that have come via real estate! The saying of treat people as u would like to b treated holds its weight in gold! After all, it is a win, win – Clients attain their goals, Realtor gets paid for job well done(hopefully) and another relationship is born! Response, loyalty, sincerity and honesty are all parts of being a Realtor(my opinion) and Customers/Clients appreciate these traits. Referral business is an intricate part of a Realtor’s Career and when u (0 comments)
