MoCo is a county full of history and landmarks, but Observatory Park offers a truly unique gift to our residents and Gaithersburg agrees.
Observatory Park along with observatories in California, Ohio, Italy, Japan and Uzbekistan performed coordinated star observations to investigate the degree of the wobble of the Earth in an effort to aid navigation. A ghostly meeting. At night the faint glow of the fire creates an eerie effect as the plastic ghosts appear to hover in a circle.

montgomery county: Tighter Reins for Future Montgomery County Homebuyers - 09/26/13 04:24 AM

If you are planning to purchase a home in the MoCo area, there are some new rules in the lending game you’ll need to know about. In an attempt to avoid a repeat of 2008’s housing bust, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is tightening the reins on mortgage lending requirements. In light of the recovering housing market, many homebuyers were taking advantage of the historically low interest rates, but the rates are rising, making many people nervous about homebuyers getting in over their heads again with rates that make their mortgages unaffordable.

The new stipulations will require that … (0 comments)

montgomery county: Getting Approved for Poor Credit Mortgages in Montgomery County - 09/05/13 08:43 PM
The first thing to note is that this is not a guide on how to take on a loan irresponsibly. Having poor credit indicates financial issues, and it’s highly important to evaluate whether you are ready for the responsibility of a mortgage before you follow the advice listed here.

With that said, having a less-than-stellar credit score does not automatically mean you are financially irresponsible. Many people with low credit scores are working their way into a better place, or may have suffered a setback.

If you have a credit score that is less than 680, you’ll definitely … (0 comments)

montgomery county: Why You Need a Real Estate Agent - 06/07/13 12:16 AM
Public view of real estate agents is often less than upstanding, equating those in our profession to pushy car salesmen. While the bad apples do exist, most of us work hard, not for a commission check, but on the behalf of our customers. Real estate is not an easy game. While you can sell or buy on your own, it usually isn’t the best choice.

You might still be asking, “Why, exactly, do I need a real estate agent?” Well there are several reason why finding a good, hard working agent can make a world of difference.
