Some may know who Sir John Templeton was. Most will not who he is. But for the many that don't know who he was, he was one of the world's greatest financial investors. He was a man that in bleak times, he saw opportunity for growth. During the Great Depression, when the stock market crashed, he stepped up to the plate to buy every stock on the stock market that was a $1 or less at the time. GREAT Media News If you don't already have one, go out and get a copy of the Orange County Register today (06/02/2008). Go to the Marketplace section on page 11. GREAT article on the demand for Orange County homes now being above the 2006 demand. The article also states the "market time" or time it would take to sell all the homes for sale is now at 5.6 months. One year ago this figure was 8.8 months. I can not make it any clearer for Home Buyers out there. Rule 1: You can't time the bottom If anyone could time the bottom, then that person must be rich. HOT...OR NOT? Although the heat is on weather-wise in most parts of the US, our recently overheated Stock market suddenly took an icy plunge lower last week. Just as quickly as the Dow had cracked the record level of 14,000, Stocks reversed course and lost 586 points for the week overall. The big cool down was triggered by a few different factors, including several weak Stock earnings reports and continuing concerns about the backlash from the sub-prime mortgage situation and tightening mortgage credit.
