Our very own Lake Oconee is hosting “Big Break Invitational” that is airing on the golf channel! 20 men and 20 women who were all former Big Break Competitors are going to compete in the inaugural Big Break Invitational at Reynolds Plantation. The Big Break Invitational will be a four-round tournament held at the golf course in Great Waters. The six men and six women who move on to Friday’s final round will be in the money.

This is such a wonderful community to be a part of. Many people also have vacation homes here and visit frequently, especially during the summer months. Reynolds Plantation has received many recognitions throughout the years, especially the award winning golf courses.

Lake Oconee area's newest restaurant is now opened for business. CHEZ MICHELLE is a "dream come true" for owners Susan and Brandon Hayes. The menu features "good Southern style" cuisine. Pam McKinley (my assistant at the Keller Williams office) and some friends tried out the new restaurant Thursday night and were very impressed by the atmosphere, service and the food. It is said that "Charity begins at Home" and this year, it began at the home of Martha Franks. Martha is a beautiful friend of mine and she called her closest friends and ask for our help. MetLife is the new buyer for Reynolds Plantation, company officials have announced.
Reynolds employees, property owners and members were notified Wednesday, according to Reynolds’ officials.
MetLife will buy the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, six golf courses, four marinas and nearly 5,000 acres of undeveloped golf and waterfront property.
The sale is expected to be completed during the summer. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
The impending sale was disclosed three weeks ago by the court-appointed receiver for Reynolds, but the buyer was not announced until Wednesday.
MetLife will hire Daniel Corporation to oversee day-to-day operations at Reynolds Plantation.
