real estate: 2017 A new beginning to "Think Big" - 01/03/17 03:53 PM
“As long as you’re going to be thinking anyway, think big.” -- Donald Trump
Already 2017 is starting off right.  General Ford Motors is bringing back the industry to the midwest and out of Mexico.  This is a very positive first step in buildng our country and providing new jobs and creating a sense of goodness to a future ahead.  I can just imagine Minnesota will be thriving with new opportnities for both young and old, retired and layed off folks looking for something to brighten 2017.  Let's hope this new venture will help our housing economy and build a sense of … (3 comments)

real estate: Investors.. What Are You Looking For? - 02/22/11 10:44 AM
Investors...What are you looking for in a property?  Are you seeking bulk inventory at .50 to the dollar?  And if so, where are you finding it?  I list REO Properties, and the banks seem to list at market value!  I have not seen much negotiation.  Actually, you may receive more seller negotiations if you were buying a regular  sale.
In our local market here in Fremont, and Tri Cities, it seems Real Estate is all over the board.  I have a number of REO's that would have sold in a flash last year!  What's up?  These homes are under $400K too!  Is our market changing that … (0 comments)

real estate: Gen Blue..... Is that You? - 02/07/11 02:54 PM
Hello Gen Blue!
As a Realtor, I always get excited about the new technology that becomes available daily from the internet!  Tech Savvy Realtor has been a great source of information for the new generation of buyers and sellers.  Yes, Real Estate activity seems to be driven by the internet more and more.   But let's face it.....  even with the highest Gen X technology , Realtors are still needed in the purchasing & selling of homes.
It can be a daily challenge to use Blogs, Video casting, Facebook and Twitter while trying to connect with clients, but only if you take the Real Estate and fun out of the equation!  I have found … (2 comments)

real estate: Fremont Friday - 11/13/09 05:16 AM
Good Morning Fellow Readers:
It is interesting to read all  the blog posts, well as much as possible anyway!  Some posts are personal, some are more technical.  All in all, its a way for the readers and visitors to meet and greet the industry from their lap top!  For me, I get to experience this from our local hang out in Fremont called Suju's.  A local coffee shop that is spacious, has lots of tables to congregate at, comfy couches and chairs and a  ambiance. Best of all, the coffee is freshly roasted in the back of the room and the Internet is FREE!
In most … (3 comments)

real estate: Blog...Blah...Blog...Blah.....Is the Headline Important? - 11/10/09 04:57 AM

Good Morning Tuesday Active Rainmakers:
My daughter, a senior at SAC State and a journalism/government major is experiencing the world of blogging.  In her recent request, she said, " I want to be able to write a column and its so interesting you forget you are reading something. Any suggestions?"  So fellow bloggers, is it important for length for content?  Is the value in a blog to exercise smarts or creativity? Should a blogger attract readers by pictures or content?  Should a blog be serious or funny?  Does a blog need to carry a particular theme throughout the entire entries or … (6 comments)

real estate: Can you believe we are in 2003 prices for REO'S? - 04/22/08 05:07 PM

We have come a long way....We experienced the 1999 computer upheavel as we dove into 2000.  We experienced some amazing events after the dot com crashed.  Lots of money and a pent up demand for Real Estate drove our communities in a frenzy of home sales as if we had a "Blue Lite" special blinking in our faces.  Families dream of home ownership became a reality and the world was a happy place.  Long time home owners  property values bagan soaring through the roof!  EQUITY.......  They screamed!  Buy more houses.  Sell those 100% financing loans.  We want EQUITY....
2005 brought a year of … (0 comments)

real estate: Loyalty?...Is It Past Client Success Or Future Reminders?? - 11/06/07 02:07 PM
I think one of my greatest gifts is to stay focused on my clients and their needs throughout a listing and/or transaction.  We tend to deal with more than one client at a time, juggling our time and energy while gracefully managing appointments.  We could be preparing for a listing appointment, previewing properties, scheduling inspections, handling the volunteer schedule for the office, and all the while talking on the phone with a client  about the ups and downs of home ownership.  I am not unlike other Realtors who love every aspect of the daily business,  interact with many personalities while doing what we do best...Real Estate.
I enjoy talking with and emailing my … (1 comments)
