Flowers & Vegetables in my Garden.
Most of the houses may have some flowers, but growing vegetables may not be the case.
However in Queens, especially in Flushing, you may see so many people growing vegetables in their backyard. And I am one of them.
It is fun, it is ecological. I dump all the food scraps in the backyard, wait for a while to compose and the organic waste improves the quality of soil and is good for growing.

The Colombian Flower Festival Parade (Desfile de las flores) was held on July 14, 2019 in Jackson Heights, NY of Queens Borough of New York City.
The march started on 37th Avenue from 59th Street to 86th Street.

New York City celebrate the victory and having a Ticker Tape Parade on July 10, 2019.
The U.S. Women's National Soccer Team defeated Netherlands 2-0 on Sunday July 7, 2019 won their fourth World Cup title and clinched second consecutive Women's World Cup victory.

Desfile y Festival Latinos Unnidos de NY was held in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Sunday July 7, 2019.
It started around 1:30 PM and lasted just about half an hour.
There were motorcycles, car fleets, bicycles, some marching groups with customes marching down south on Graham Ave from around Metropolitan Ave.

WorldPride NYC : NYC Pride March was held Jun 20, 2019. The Pride Parade started around 12 PM and ended almost 12 hours later
It was a global celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and queer L.G.B.T.Q. identity.
This year New York City hosted the WorldPride and the annual Pride March.
Rainbow flags, banners, balloons, necklaces filled the Fifth Ave from 20's street down to Greenwich Village in Manhattan. After 50 years of Stonewall Uprising, more gay rights have been affirmed.

Coney Island, Brooklyn is one of New York City's most famous destination, especially summer.
Walk on the boardwalk, beach, swim in the ocean, eat the famous hot dog, have fun in the thrill rides, fireworks, Mermaid Parade, what other places like this in the Big Apple.

Coney Island Fireworks will be displayed every Friday night from Jun 21st until Aug 30th, 2019 at about 9:30 PM.
It is free. The event are sponsored by the Alliance for Coney Island and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.
There will be Fireworks Show on 4th of July on the Independence Day at about 9:50 P.M too.
Coney Island is a neighborhood that features an amusement area that includes rides and attraction, New York Aquarium, an iconic boardwalk and the famous Nathan's Hot Dogs.

Fireworks Show for the Independence Day Celebration took place on June 27, 2019 at Astoria Park, Astoria, NYC, ahead of Macy's Fourth of July Firework Spectacular.
It marked 35th anniversary for the 4th of July event.
The Central Astoria Local Development Coalition hosted the event and the Venue of the fireworks was actually on Randall's Island.

The 37th Annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade was held Jun 22 in 2019. The Parade held annually in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York, is the largest art parade in the United States. It is held each year in June, regardless of weather, to celebrate the arrival of the summer season. (according to Wikipedia)
Coney Island is a New York City neighborhood that features an amusement area that includes rides and attractions. It's not a centrally managed amusement park.

40th Annual St. Gregory the Great Festival Bellerose in Queens, NY was opened Jun 21, 2019 and will be continuing until Jun 30 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.
There are live music, food - zeppole, hot dogs, pizza, desserts, italian ices, Indian foods, , beer, wine, thrill rides, kiddie rides, games and a little opening parade. It is good for all ages.
There is no admission for this summer carnival. Rides are pay as you go.

Astoria Park Carnival bring family fun to Astoria, Queens, NY.
It is set up under the Robert F Kennedy Bridge, in the parking lot of the park.
There are thrill rides, Ferris Wheel, games.for all ages, foods such as funnel cake, fried Oreos, fried dough, zeppole, hamburger, hot dog, shish kabob, slushes, lemonade, cotton candy, gyro etc.
There is no admission, it is pay as you ride.
The 2019 annual Astoria Carnival is presented by the Central Astoria Local Development Coalition.

Empire Outlets in Staten Island was opened to Public on May 16.
It is next to the waterfront park, The Staten Island 9/11 Memorial and the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. The shopping center's walkways provide skyline views of Manhattan, Brooklyn and New Jersey.
But right now not all the stores were opened yet.
Stores opened: Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Columbia Factory Store, Gap Factory Store, Jockey, Old Navy, American Eagle Outfitters, Starbucks, Lids, Wetzel's Pretzels, Francesca's, GNC, Guess. Other stores will be opened by summer.
