There is Lion Dance, Marching Bands and the street & park full of Red Lanterns to celebrate the Lantern Festival.
The Parade began at Kimlau Square marching up E. Broadway - Eldridge St - Grand St & finished at Sara D. Roosevelt Park.
The Lantern Festival is a Chinese Festival celebrated on the 15th day of the first month in the lunar calendar.
第十六屆元宵節慶祝活動在紐約唐人街舉行。遊行在華裔軍人忠烈坊(林則徐像)開始，途經東百老匯，愛烈治街，格蘭街到羅斯福公園。這次活動由多個福建團體支持。有舞獅，遊行樂隊，贈送元宵等。

I was going to the Lunar New Year Parade, so I took the chance to revisit and took a walk in the Downtown, Lower Manhattan, New York City.

After the once a year Lunar New Year Parade in Chinatown, New York City, I was going to take the F train to Queens on Second Avenue/Houston Street; a street performer was singing & playing guitar in the MTA subway station.
I liked the melody.

New York City hosted its 20th annual Lunar New Year Parade in Chinatown, lower Manhattan.
The parade would see the traditional Chinese Dragon and Lion Dance, Float Parade, Dance, Slingshot and some cool cars This year came the Year of the Pig. The Lunar New Year is celebrated not only among Chinese, but Korean & Vietnamese too.

New Year Firecracker Ceremony & Cultural Festival was held in Sara D. Roosevelt Park at Grand Street in Chinatown, NY.
To celebrate the Lunar New Year, there are Firecrackers Lighting, Chinese Dance, Singing, Lion Dance, Dragon Dance. There are also some free gifts.
