WILMINGTON, NC- WHERE TO FIND A PUMPKIN Don't have a pumpkin, yet? Well there are plenty of places in Wilmington to find a pumpkin. Some are :Wesley Memorial Church on S. College Road - have a multitude of pumpkins for pumpkins lookers of all ages. Some are even decorated for you...On Market St or HWY 17 in Porters Neck there is a vendor on the right side of the road selling pumpkins. Carolina Beach Boat basin is pictured on the left. This Weekend in CB you can attend the Friday Night Band concert at the Boardwalk. Also there is the Farmers Market on the Lake from 9 -1 pm. On Sunday at the Boardwalk is the movie - " Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs". It is almost like going to a drive in movie in the old days. Kids love these outdoor movies. The Wilmington Downtown Riverwalk is pictured on the right. You can go to the Downtown Sundown Series Band - tonite there is the Breakfast Club tribute band at (0 comments)
NC Aquarium Behind the Scenes Tour...and More The NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher is now offering an Extended Behind the Scenes tour that takes participants deeper into the hidden layers of the Aquarium. The program will feature the traditional behind the scenes tour, which includes exploring animal quarantine, life support, food preparation, and access areas. The tour will then continue to the top of the Aquarium's largest exhibit, the Cape Fear Shoals, where participants will have the rare opportunity to view a live feeding of the 235,000 gallon tank from a newly created viewing deck. On Saturday CB will host An Independence Day fireworks with Castle Hayne's Soul Power Posse performing. Downtown Sundown Series Concerts will take place on Friday night in Riverfront Park. Market Update According to data in the Wilmington Regional MLS and the Brunswick County MLS, local home sales had double-digit growth changes. As expected, the average and median sales prices were down from the same period last year. Both MLS's reported a decrease in average Days on the Market -- a good sign. Percentage Change from May 2009 - May 2010

The beach will certainly be the star of this Holiday weekend but there are a few other things to see. The amusement park will open this weekend with 20 rides. The price is $ 20.00 for the day. It includes all rides. It is directly adjacent to the Carolina Beach boardwalk. On Hamlet street there will also be waterslides this year - a new attraction. It will be open on Friday May 28,2010. Carolina & Kure BeachThere are currently 533 single family homes for sale and this represents a 5 unit decrease over April 2010 and 9.5% of our total WRAR inventory. The average list price is $419,797 an decrease of about $11,136 from March. In April there were 29 homes sold, divide that by the homes available and you have an 18.3 monthly supply of homes in Carolina and Kure Beach. The monthly supply of homes continues to come down.
