The Riverside County Regional Detention Center Project, also known as the Whitewater Jail, is having a meeting for interested Parties on Thursday Jan. 8th, 2009 from 6-8PM.  The meeting will be held at the Cabazon Community Center located at the Corner of Broadway and Carmen Ave.
People that asked questions on the County's website for the jail were sent an email invitation to this meeting called an "Open House."  I know I will be there as I have several questions, and hope they will be answered.

cabazon: Cabazon CA- Land for Sale ~ 5 large lots all with Great Views - 08/16/08 07:10 AM
Cabazon is a growing area...again!  A little trivia is that Cabazon, CA has the designation of being the only City that gave up being a City in Riverside County.  In 1955 they were a City, and in 1972 they voted to Dis-incorporate, to give up being a city. Fast foreward to 2008 and  now Cabazon wants to Incorporate again.  Wow, forget the Casino, Shopping Malls, Dinosaurs, and fantastic Mountains....Cabazon will be finally coming into its own.  Cabazon's growth is undeniable.

cabazon: White Water, CA: What's that Big Gray Building and who owns the Gas Station - 08/02/08 10:54 AM
For many years White Water (Whitewater) CA was mostly just known for a few things.....the Whitewater Trout Farm, Whitewater Rock, and the boys school off the Verbania Exit.  Progress is a strange thing; the Whitewater Trout Farm is gone, the Boy's school is gone, that old gas station has been deserted for years, and the street name Verbania has been changed. So much for local landmarks :)

People ask about about the gas station  right off the Haugen-Lehmann Exit of the I-10 freeway.
The location of this old gas station is perfect, and many people want to make a … (22 comments)

cabazon: Cabazon: How do I get to the Outlets and the Casino - 08/02/08 06:29 AM
Cabazon has 2 different Outlets although I doubt most people even notice the difference.  The Desert Hills Premium Outlets has over 120 Stores, and has been a premier shopping destination for years.  Big Tourist Buses bring International Shoppers here where they can find some great bargains.
Desert Hills Premium Outlets is one of the Outlet Centers, and Cabazon Outlets is right next to it, and is very small....I haven't counted, but I think there are under 20 stores in the Cabazon Outlets.
From Los Angeles you would take the Fields Road exit and go left.  There's a McDonalds before you get into … (4 comments)

cabazon: Cabazon: Sitting in the Shadows of the Morongo Indian Reservation - 08/02/08 05:37 AM
Cabazon, CA is an interesting little town.  It's not a city, and only has one little store, a Post Office, and the Am/PM Gas Station at the Main Street exit.  That's on the South Side of the Freeway....the side where locals think of Cabazon as Cabazon. For years Cabazon was just a small little town off the I-10 Freeway between Banning and Palm Springs.  It was best known for the big Dinosaur on the North Side of the Freeway.  That Dinosaur was made famous in a few movies, including a Pee Wee Herman one.   That was  Cabazon to most people.

cabazon: Whitewater, California........ Employment Opportunities - 07/21/08 08:23 PM
Are you looking for Homes for Sale in the Cabazon/Whitewater area of Southern California? There are many homes for sale, and all Buyers are looking for the best home for their money. Homes are priced differently, and sometimes there is no rhyme or reason for the pricing other than the Seller wants a certain Price. There are several homes in the White water and Cabazon areas where you can find  affordable homes for sale. The area is changing, and the Morongo Casino, and Arrowhead Plant are two of the local employers.

cabazon: Whitewater, CA 92282...updated - 08/23/07 08:30 PM
The community of White water CA aka Cabazon is about 20 minutes from downtown Palm Springs, Ca, and about 2 hours east of Los Angeles.  The White Water area has seen a growth of activity, partly because homes in  Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego County have become unaffordable for the average family.
Whitewater is at the neck of the Coachella Valley, and was originally called West Palm Springs Village.  The original development had investors like Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, and Frank Sinatra.  There was supposed to be over 500 lots of Commercial, a Drive-in, Polo Grounds, a Bowling Alley, and an Aquarium.  Nice plans, … (10 comments)

cabazon: Real Estate: Caring for Septic Systems in Cabazon and White Water, CA - 05/07/07 06:28 PM
Septic Sytems are not the same as sewer, they need more care. My house is on the city sewer system, so I never gave much thought to flushing the toilet, or what I dump down the sinks, even when my 5 grandchildren come to visit, and both bathrooms are in use at the same time.
Well today I thought about the septic systems that people have, and that many people that are buying new homes in Cabazon and White Water, CA might not know how to properly care for the Septic System.
