Cabazon, CA is a small unincorporated area in Riverside County between Banning and Palm Springs. Cabazon used to be a City (1955-1972) but they voted to unincorporate. Currently Cabazon is the only Community/Town to give up being a City in Riverside County. Apparently the citizens of Cabazon all 2,000 of them, were tired of the Politics, and Scandals so voted to Unincorporate back in 1972. Well, that was then and this is now.
In 1972 Cabazon didn't have a lot going for it. Nothing in the area had a lot going for it. Development was slow to come to the area, and the ones that tried got voted … (12 comments)

Last week I wrote a Blog about a referral, and how I was still working to get the listings. Well, yesterday I finally got the paperwork back on 5 of the properties...and have one more to go. These are all recycled properties...been listed before, and didn't sell. Then I got a call for a house close to the lots....would I be interested in listing it....another recycled one. Recently I received a call from an Agent in a neighboring town. They wanted to know if I worked in the Cabazon, Ca area.....because another Agent had given her my name. Why yes, I do....how can I help you? She had a name, and some APN#'s......and had talked to the people but she didn't service the area. OK...let me check it out. Sound familiar? I don't know about you but I don't take every referral, or listing that calls me.

How many times have we wanted a sale to go through only to lose it for some small reason, or because the Agents couldn't work together. I know Real Estate Sales are just that....sales, but aren't they also about negotiating? Sale #1 - I closed today on contract that was only supposed to be 7 days....it was about 21. I had both clients, so I can't even say that it was issues with another Agent. It would be easier to blame someone else, but the fact is sometimes Murphy's Law just comes into play.
