What a recovery, 33% Increase in Home sale's - October 2011,
Year to Date sales are up a strong 12% .
Kailua Kona, Hawaii is in its 3rd straight year of increased sales - in fact, I had to go all the way back to October 2005 to find a better "October" for the "number of homes sold".

OK, you guys know how many short sales I do, and how lucky I was - (kidding) - to be in the middle of one, when the Feds came in and took over Indymac, and if you remember my blogs from the mid 2009, and the nightmare it was dealing with them. You would think that after 2 and half years, you would be "called" on your business practices - but it seems not.

I'm not new at this, 36 short sale transactions closed, 11 in escrow right now, 6 more listed, including this one?
The sister home to this - 2 lots away, is listed at $709,000 - all comps suggest I can get this closed at the $599,000 - so why is this one sitting here?

Kailua Kona, and KonaHomeTeam present 76-831 Kueni Place - a spectacular new listing. Priced at $843,500.
Open House on Thursday went extremely well, approximately 45 agents came through, and not one, NOT 1 - bad remark. Most comments were - WOW - I never expected all this from the street view, what a great listing, this one shouldn't last long - the long stares as agents scanned their memory banks for that buyer.

Kailua Kona home sales are staying true, Up 10% from 2010 (number of homes sold) , which, by the way was up 40% over 2009 sales number. Just in case your were wondering - like I was, 2009 - you got it - up 66% over 2008. so needless to say we are well on our way to recovery. The first one takes you to the homeowners site, the second one takes you to the "servicer's" site - its a 180 page manual on how to implement the system, I thought it would be good for the homeowners to have this information - if they have the time! Definetly not for everbdody. Facial Recognition software has been around for awhile, and it's quite cool technology! I used it on my 5,000 photo collection and it was amazingly accurate - amazingly accurate. And even when it wasn't accurate - it really was. I had scanned in some old photos of my wife when she was young, and it picked her up, as our 10 year old son - and you could really see the resemblance.
OK - so in a perfect world - that’s great stuff, but what about this? Can you just imagine, somebody you haven’t seen in 10, 15, 20 years, scans in an old photo from … (2 comments)
