Following a 2 year trend now, Kona home sales jumped an astounding 66% for February 2011 over February 2010. And if your thinking like a lot people are -"well 2010 wasn't a great year to begin with" Think again - 2010 sales were up 40% over 2009. I keep telling people - if your house is priced right - its going to sell - and sell fast! January 2011, Kailua Kona Home prices came in just under 2003 pricing. Hawaii MLS reports that the median price for January 2011 was $353,220 and Going back to Jan 2003, we had the median price at $359,950. Don't let these numbers fool you though, I went back and took a look at the actual homes that sold, and on the ones that had actually sold back in 2001-2002 they seem to fit in-between that era better than the 2003 sales.

December 2010 outsold Dec 2009 by an astounding 61% ! And don't think 2009 must have been a bad year, because 2009 outsold 2008 by 75% - ok your probably thinking what I am thinking - well 2008 must have been a bad year - hold on - let me go back and check ................

September 2009, Kailua Kona (North Kona) home sales have increased over last September's sales by a whopping 41%, and this makes it 5 months in a row that we have seen increases over last year! This also puts us up now for the - year to date - over last years sales.
