Lucky we live Hawaii, the only place I know of where you can snowboard in the morning, and bodyboard in the afternoon !
First Snow has hit the Big Island, and the Ski Lifts are OPEN.... Ok, im kidding about the ski lifts, but the snow is real, it is here, and the best part about it, the beach is only an hour and half away !
Manua Kea and Mauna Loa get snow every year, some years are better than others, but I am betting on a nice White Christmas this year.

Hawaii woke up this morning to a surprisingly "White" Mauna Kea. Looks like it had about an inch of that white stuff, mainlanders call it snow (I guess we call it that also, we just don't get to witness it that often) .
And to answer my own question - I have no idea :)

The magnitude of who you really work for has a way of settling in, when you open up USA Today and see one of the properties that your brokerage manages, not only on that list, but it is number 4 on that list! Interestingly enough its the only home from Hawaii that made the list.

As a REALTOR® I can't tell you how many times I hear that remark at a party, at the beach, at my kid's soccer game, even waiting in line at the grocery store.
It gets even worse when I share the deal my wife and I got on our 3 acres in Kaloko.

Unless you live on the Big Island of Hawaii, or visited here lately, you probably have no idea what I am talking about. None of the other islands have active volcano's, so it's a word that is used mainly here on the Big Island.

Just take a look around you - Kailua Kona land sales (not including these) were up 200% last month - can you imagine what these sales will do to the June numbers! 4 sales, all cash, for a total of $17,360,000 - day one!
Just for the heck of it, let me check last June numbers...... hold on, computer running slow......

Luxury Vacation Rentals in Hawaii
I recently had the opportunity to visit this home (wish I could say I stayed there, but I cant) I have a hard time even trying to explain the feeling you get when on this property, take a minute to add this to your wish-list.
Just FYI, my visit was when they invited me to join their team, which I proudly accepted, not in the rental department, but in the luxury sales division.

All-though Act 48 had its good intentions, like many other government programs, it was ill planned and executed even worse!
What it did do though: - was create - The - Absolute - Best time in history - to Short Sale your home!
That's right, with the backlog and nightmares it created - the banks are actually PAYING delinquent home owners to Short Sale their home, EVEN if it is a second home, investment property, or whatever - I am actually getting "moving assistance" money and deficiencies waived for 'investors" and let alone "owner occupied" homes.

Mauna Kea is the tallest mountain in the world – although most people think Mount Everest is the tallest, it is actually only the Highest, Mauna Kea is actually 4,436 feet taller than Mount Everest

I was wondering why it was so cold last night, then I woke up - Mauna Kea was blanketed in snow! (the top of it) What a beautiful sight that is. we had this wild cold front move in last night, bringing lots of rain with it, had flash flood advisories - but no winter storm warnings - whats up with that?
Ok Kids, grab your boogy boards, and garden gloves - lets head to Mauna Kea. Kids here dont have snow gloves, or snow boards, we just take them down to the beach to thaw them out when were done.
