Why Do People Live Here? Sunway Knolls is a well established area that was developed along Alice Drive and Wise Drive. The land has some rise and fall to it but is not steep in any area. The yards are filled with mature hard woods and pine trees and specimen trees for landscaping. The area is full of azaleas that welcome the spring to Sumter, SC. Sunway Knolls is quite popular among the military and local Sumterites due to the great location and it’s access to schools, parks and churches.
