lone tree: Bluffmont Heights, Lone Tree, CO - 04/05/10 03:20 PM
Bluffmont Heights Community by Kristal Kraft, Realtor
Bluffmont Heights a Walkable Community
Bluffmont Heights as one would assume is situated on the side of a bluff, this upscale enclave enjoys close-by conveniences typically found only in a more urban environment.  This is by no means a mistake, Bluffmont is part of Lone Tree's long term development plan to build a walkable-urban neighborhood in the middle of suburbia!
Of course all cities begin small and grow with time, with varying end results.  Not so in Lone Tree. where the master plan is detailed and well-thought out.  Eventually, when all the neighborhoods are finished they … (0 comments)

Lone Tree, Colorado is a great community that offers annual events for all residents.  Each year the 4th of July Celebrations are worth staying home for.  In fact the celebration has been so popular in years past the City of Lone Tree has had to restrict attendance in order for the citizens of Lone Tree to be able to attend.
This means an extra step for residents in the weeks prior to the 4th. It is necessary to visit the Lone Tree Civic Center to obtain a FREE wristband in order to gain entrance to the Celebration.  In order to receive … (4 comments)

lone tree: Lone Tree's Demographic Pride! - 05/18/07 06:05 AM
Lone Tree, Colorado ~ A Denver 'burb...Hometown pride is important. We all have our reasons and they will be a unique and different as each individual. It's a healthy thing to feel good about the town one lives in.
Lone Tree is my home town. I like the community's convenient location to I-25 and E-470. In my business being able to hop on a freeway and be someplace else is important.
I am also impressed by the way the community is growing. There is a plan. We have a Mayor and council. We have our own great police force. We have a … (1 comments)

lone tree: A different kind of Ding... - 04/24/07 04:01 PM
I love construction sites.  It must be in my blood, my Father raised us four kids and put food on the table as a mason contractor.  He built things with concrete and brick.  He built things to last for the ages.  I fondly recall the pride showing in his eyes as he would point out the places he built.  What a feeling it must be to take something from nothing to something.
Builders do it everyday. I bet their kids take pride in them as I do in my Dad's work.  He made me proud my whole life long.
Perhaps that is why … (14 comments)

lone tree: You Can't Get There From Here! - 11/24/06 03:35 PM
Ever wonder why things happen the way they do? I am always amazed at certain things.  For instance our new Light Rail line just opened last week.  The service is running well, but...
The Light Rail goes by the Park Meadows Mall.  It's one of the area's most popular malls, people come from miles around to visit.  The Light Rail has a stop at the County Line Station, it's even on the same side of the interstate as the mall, but you can't get to the mail from this stop.
I was poking around at the County Line Light Rail Station taking a … (19 comments)

lone tree: Attention Seattle...May I have My Credentials Please? - 11/17/06 01:21 PM
London has it's Underground affectionately called "The Tube".  Washington, D.C. has the fabulous Metro. Now Denver has Light Rail!  Today was the ribbon cutting ceremony with all the fun and frills of a big top circus.  The citizens came from all around to park in the new parking garage and be present for a monumental day in Denver's transportation history.
Completed "on time and under budget," Denver and the 'burbs have every right to be proud of this new asset the community.  19 new miles of new light rail service, 13 new rail stations, 11 new bus routes, 10 new (or expanded … (17 comments)

lone tree: Grow like a tree - 10/21/06 04:43 PM
Amid volumes of openness a single tree stands tall.
When faced with adversity are you like the tree?
Reflect and grow...
Dig your roots in deeper for strength.
Look to the heavens for enlightenment.
Sway in the breeze for flexibility.
Stand tall and proud for you are unique individual...and that is Okay.

lone tree: Got Goburb? - 10/17/06 03:24 PM
Our Metro Area is Changing
Next month Denver Metro's $1.7 billion TREX Light Rail line will open up.  It's a wonderful addition to our much needed public transportation system.  The new light rail will service SE Denver Metro's suburb communities all the way to Lone Tree.
Along the Light Rail line, many new urban villages have popped up.  As Realtors we have been busy learning about each new area and what it has to offer.  We are also working on remembering where the Light Rail stations and parking are located.  Having this knowledge readily available is very helpful when working with clients who … (7 comments)

lone tree: Highest & Best Use...does it apply to you? - 09/20/06 11:42 AM
My heart skipped a beat today as I approached my favorite mall at Park Meadows in Lone Tree.  The demolition  had begun on the Lord and Taylor store, it looked like the setting of a bombing.
No, it isn't a terrorist attack, just an economic decision to tear down a perfectly good store to replace it with an outdoor walking mall.  The soon to be gone store is less than 10 years old!  It was a beautifully done department store whose demise came along after it was sold to a competitor (I think Macy's) that is already at the mall.  Instead of … (16 comments)

lone tree: Ever run thru a parking lot with a bear behind? - 07/21/06 05:04 PM
A 250-pound black bear roamed into the parking lot of the Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree.  The female bear was most likely looking for food, due to the draught that has caused a depleted food supply.
Now since I am reporting this from Colorado, be it known that Lone Tree is not some isolated community in the Rocky Mountains.  It's a suburb of Denver, a city to the south just off I-25 and the new light rail line, it's nearby a high-end Toll Brothers development.  Audable growling distance from TARGET!
Image yourself just leaving the hospital to go to the car.  You turn the … (2 comments)
