buyers agent remax: OMG I Am An Activerain Millionaire!
- 02/22/13 12:25 AM
Today I got a late start. I had to snow blow myself and my neighbors out. By the time I got back inside, started up my laptop, poured myself some coffee, it was 10am! I started with my emails, then to Activerain. I got a comment from Bob Crane saying congratulations that I might become a millionaire today. I happened to check my points, and sure enough, I was over a million points! I want to thank Tom Braatz, who introduced me to this "blogging thing" several years ago. Without his guidance, I would probably still not know how effective blogging could (87 comments)
buyers agent remax: The Apron
- 11/16/12 10:36 PM
My Mom sent this to me and thought it was cute.... Remember making an apron in Home Ec? Remember Home Ec? If we have to explain "Home Ec" you may delete this. I just don't have the energy anymore. Read on. The History of 'APRONS' I don't think our kids know what an apron is. The principal use of Grandma's apron was to protect the dress underneath because she only had a few and because it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and aprons required less material. But along with that, it served as a (16 comments)
I saw an article in Rachel Ray Magazine that included 9 great uses for mayonnaise. Here they are:
1. Polish the patio. Mayo replenishes the moisture in the finish and gives it shine and protection. 2. Soothe dry skin. Mayo hydrates and prevents skin from flaking. 3. Unstick price tags. Mayo helps loosen the glue. 4. Get silky strands. Mayo encourages hair growth. 5. Clean a burst bubble. Mayo softens the sticky gum. 6. Get houseplants glossy. Mayo helps it look extra vibrant. 7. Salvage your silver. Mayo will help tackle tarnish. 8. Indulge your digits. It helps (13 comments)
1. MYTH: All veggie burgers are good for you. FALSE! You may feel virtuous grilling up a veggie burger instead of a thick beef patty, but not all meatless burgers are created equal. Some are highly processed and packed with salt. Just one patty can have up to 400mg of sodium, which is 25 percent of your daily allowance. Before you buy, read the label. You want to see veggies high up in the ingredient list.
2. MYTH: When you leave plastic bottles in the (17 comments)
This was forwarded to me and I thought it was a cute way of looking at a found penny :-) A Penny That Little Penny In The Parking lot Remember this every time you pass that little penny in the parking lot. I always thought that it was for good luck, but I love this version better. I found a penny today Lying on the ground. But it's not just a penny, This little coin I've found. Found pennies come from heaven, that's what my Grandpa told me. (20 comments)
buyers agent remax: Did You Know?
- 03/03/12 10:18 PM
Did you know that almost 60 percent of household dust, which may contain lead, arsenic and other pollutants, comes from tracked-in soil and airborne particles from outside? To keep it to a minimum, wipe down pets before letting them back inside, wipe shoes on outdoor mats and leave coats and shoes by the door. Eliminate impurities that do make it indoors by changing air conditioner/heating filters regularly and using a vacuum equipped with a HEPA filter.
You're most likely to get into a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday matinee. Plus, you get the bonuses of cheaper tickets and possible concession stand promotions. If you want that crowd experience, go to a Friday or Saturday 7pm or 9pm show. Most theaters let you buy tickets online as soon as the schedule comes out---anywhere between seven and fourteen days in advance. If you don't want the plot spoiled by water-cooler conversation, go the afternoon of the first day it opens!

buyers agent remax: Ideas to Make Life Easier
- 01/14/12 02:44 AM
Ideas to Make Life Easier Why didn’t I think of that?! We guarantee you’ll be uttering those words more than once at these ingenious little tips, tricks and ideas that solve everyday problems. Hull strawberries easily using a straw. Rubbing a walnut over scratches in your furniture will disguise dings and scrapes. Remove crayon masterpieces from your TV or computer screen with WD40. Stop cut apples browning in your child’s lunch box by securing with a rubber band. Overhaul your linen cupboard, store bed linen sets inside one of their own pillowcases and there will be no more hunting through piles (21 comments)
I received this wonderful short sale client testimonial recently and thought I would share it. Great folks! And, a special thanks again to Laura Baker for referring them to me :-)
"We were referred to Kris Johnston by our home stager, Laura Baker, of Ready,Set...Sell! Home Staging and Redesign. It was imperative that the Realtor we chose was well versed in the complicated short sale process we were about to undergo. Kris was knowledgeable, confident and assertive. With her guidance, our home sold in just over 4 months on the market at the full appraisal price, which was (13 comments)
