Do you Love Where you Live? I love La Quinta, CA! Do you love where you live? I love living the desert life in La Quinta, California! La Quinta is a charming town in the Coachella valley near Palm Springs, CA. It is a destination resort area with over 100 golf courses, world class tennis, hiking and biking trails, boutiques and restaurants, framed by the Santa Rosa Mountains. I love living here so much that years ago I created 365 Things to do in the Palm Springs Area facebook page to share events, news, and happenings here! My page grows by over 100 new (4 comments)

In April of 2010 I began my 365 Things to do in the Palm Springs, CA Area PAGE on FACEBOOK. It is a community page where I curate events and favorite things to do and see in the Palm Springs area. I gather a good portion of my info from local restaurants, newspapers, magazines, hotels, community groups, neighborhoods, and their Facebook pages. I can trace several (36 comments)
Sunnylands: Home of the Annenbergs...the rich are very different from you and me. Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me. They possess and enjoy early, and it does something to them, makes them soft where we are hard, and cynical where we are trustful, in a way that, unless you were born rich, it is very difficult to understand. They think, deep in their hearts, that they are better than we are because we had to discover the compensations (3 comments)
While in Palm Springs don’t miss the 26 ft. tall sculpture of Marilyn Monroe by American artist and Johnson & Johnson heir Seward Johnson. The sculpture is inspired by the famous photograph by Bernard of Hollywood from the film The Seven Year Itch. She is located at what many call the corner of “Main and Main,” Palm Canyon & Tahquitz (12 comments)
