Opening in 1969...George's Burgers and Insults in Cathedral City is an institution here in the Palm Springs area. George passed away, but his old boxing photo hangs behind the bar. His son Ed took over and has been flipping burgers and hollering at customers for the last 14 years.
It is a little off the beaten path and only holds about 20 people. The menu is mostly burgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and chili. You can put ketchup on your fries, but be prepared to be yelled at if you put ketchup on your burger. You get it the way Ed … (4 comments)
