I wrote a blog almost 2 years ago about a short sale I had listed in Montero Estates in La Quinta.
Approved Short-Sale in Montero Estates La Quinta! Today a buyer called me from Washington who had found my blog and wanted more info on the property. The fact is that home is LONG GONE! He said, " Well you should take it off the internet if it's no longer available...". WHAT??
Luckily, even though our inventories are low, there are several other homes in this buyers price range right here in the La Quinta Country Club neighborhood!

Currently at La Quinta Country Club there are 12 Active Listings. This is incredibly low inventory-- even though it is summer.
There are 4 Listings Pending sale.
Many people are waiting to list their homes in the fall when the golf course re-opens, but you would be surprised by how many buyers come to the desert in the summer. If they are here this time of year-- they are in the mood to buy... it is too hot for golf, hiking, or even shopping!

My Jet-Set buyer and I got together today-- I had lofty ideas and he brought me back to earth stating... $1Million price point. ( Not that $1Million is anything to sneeze at!) I cancelled a few showings over $1Million-- but by the afternoon... here we were looking at $4.5 Million dollar homes!

Later... we looked at homes priced just under $1Million-- and we found one that would really suit his immediate needs. He was ready to make an offer.

I had a call this afternoon from a referral client who wants to buy a home here in the desert. He is flying in private... late tonight and wants to see homes in several luxury neighborhoods.
Bighorn, The Tradition, The Hideaway, La Quinta Country Club are some of the areas that we will see.

The new title sponsor for the Bob Hope Classic... Humana the health-care conglomerate is making some big changes in the format and even the name of the 52 year old event. Although, Bob Hope's image will still be used in promoting the event, the tournament will be called the Humana Challenge. Changes in the format of play along with an increased purse are just a few things that will be different at the La Quinta January event.

Even after living in the desert for more than 20 years... I am still amazed by the beauty here.
The majestic Santa Rosa mountains rise from the desert floor and change from a golden rose color in the morning sun to a hazy blue in the afternoon and deep purples at dusk. The chocolate mountains in the north and east valley, though smaller, are sometimes charcoal, cocoa, dusty brown, and lavender. We are so lucky to have front row seats here at La Quinta Country Club and the Bob Hope Classic! The weather is gorgeous... in the mid 70's, sun is shining and we have the celebrity field here today. This is one of my favorite weeks here in the desert!
My favorite comedian Ron "Tater Salad" White is one of the celebrities playing this week. If you get a chance to see him, or even catch his act on TV... DO IT!

Today I was showing homes to a Canadian couple seeking a sunny getaway from Vancouver. We had toured several homes in different neighborhoods and came to one of our final homes. 78098
I could not locate the lock-box, and there was no "for sale sign", but the address was correct, so my weary buyers strolled up the side of the house and settled into the lounge chairs on the patio, (with gorgeous golf course views) and waited for me to gain entry.

We are so lucky to live in La Quinta California! With amazing views of the Santa Rosa Mountains, some still snow capped, and our balmy 80* weather... who would not want to live here? You have seen the Agent cards with the Agent + Best Friend ... or the Mr. and Mrs. Agent + several Pooches....WHY?
Does this "animal included" approach help them sell homes? Do fellow dog-lovers immediately dial their number-- over us "animal not included" Agents? What about the people who DON'T love dogs? What about the prospects who are allergic?
