la quinta cove: Speechless Sunday: La Quinta Cove Puertas! - 07/31/16 05:02 AM
I love the interesting and unique homes in the La Quinta cove.  Many were built in the late 1950's and most in the 1970's.  Every time I am working in the La Quinta cove neighborhood I discover new homes and I have captured some of them here!

la quinta cove: La Quinta Cove's Charming Puertas! - 07/01/13 10:27 AM
La Quinta Cove is a favorite neighborhood of mine. Known for eclectic homes, wrap-around-mountain views, hiking trails, and proximity to Old Town La Quinta.  When I am previewing or working in the La Quinta Cove, I always have my camera ready because there are so many charming homes with interesting "puertas" or gates.

Whether they are in front of a hacienda style home, a Santa Fe adobe, or even a more traditional home... I love finding these charming puertas in the La Quinta Cove!

la quinta cove: Tour the Historic Casitas of the La Quinta Cove - 02/04/13 03:17 AM

East of Palm Springs in the Coachella Valley, lies the City of La Quinta.Tucked away in a cove surrounded by the Santa Rosa Mountains are 63 small houses. Many have a Hollywood history!
The exceptional thing is that these Spanish Colonials were all built between 1935 and 1941. They are related by their modest size, white adobe-like exteriors, low, red-tiled roofs, and wooden lintels. Many of them only show the tops of their red-tiled roofs to the outside world.
Who built these homes? Who lived in them? Why are they sprinkled around the Cove without rhyme or reason?

la quinta cove: La Quinta Cove is a Great Neighborhood! - 04/20/12 07:25 AM
La Quinta Cove, with its wrap-around mountain views and starry nights, is undergoing a resurgence, with a flurry of new home construction and upgrading by current homeowners.

This La Quinta Cove transformation in recent years has enhanced the welcoming desert neighborhoods and improved overall property values. Investors are purchasing homes now, many under $100,000 and refurbishing them for resale or rentals. Many homes, including the popular Santa Fe style can be purchased for $200,000 or less. There are also private estates and residences in the million dollar range.
