palm springs area: Wordless Wednesday: On the way to dinner...

Last night we headed through Indian Wells to Palm Desert for dinner on El Paseo Drive. The sunset was beautiful behind the Santa Rosa mountains and the palms along Highway 111 added their striking silhouettes. Our desert is stunning all summer long! I moved to the Palm Springs area when I was a young golf pro over 22 years ago, and in that time I have played 105 of the areas 137 courses. I love playing here, and Living the Desert Life! Good news in the tourist industry here in the Palm Springs area... the summer numbers are better than ever! Tourism usually tapers off here in the summer and locals help keep the businesses going in these warmer months. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway broke ridership records in both June and July, and last months totals approached the numbers we usually see in January, when the snow-birds and seasonal people fill the valley. Why I Chose Real Estate: I've Always Loved Sunshine and Living the Good Life! Even though I was born in Colorado-- I think I am a southern California girl at heart! The Coachella Valley Wild Bird Center is a non-profit corporation that was created for the care and rehabilitation of orphaned, injured or sick native wild birds, with the ultimate goal of releasing them back into their habitats.
