The Coloradoan reports that according to local banks, while national financial news is a real cause for concern, they aren't directly tied to the banking debacle. Lorna Reeves, senior vice president and branch manager of Cache Bank and Trust said, "The general public gets misinformation about what real banks are. We're just not part of this subprime debacle. In actuality, most banks are safe because they don't enter into those kinds of practices."
