All we hear all day is how bad the housing market is, well yes its down, but homes are still selling, because people are still buying. Yes the market value of homes has fallen, but if you have been in your home for 5, 10, 15 years and you have not used it as an ATM you probably still have more equity than you think. If it hasn't it pretty close, why sit on the side lines and wait for the very bottom of the market, that you will never be able to time anyway. What is the worse that happens you buy now the market drops a few more points then rebounds, and you miss a few thousand dollars in value? What happens if the market has already hit and is on the way up? You are already losing money! Prices don't seem to have fallen lately, so maybe they are on the way up? I was updating one of my listening in Aberdeen Maryland, Also known as BRAC central. I have a listing that originally contracted for about $370, 000, I had it listed for $367,000 the builder has just dropped it to $329,990.00, that is the base price of the home without any upgrades and this home is loaded.
