I absolutely love fall in Portola Hills. Today is a lovely fall day with temps cooling a bit from the September warmth. This is a great analogy for the real estate market in Portola Hills. We expect things to cool down but comparing the numbers it continued to be pretty hot with continued price gains.. just like the September weather. Below is a snapshot of how the real estate market performed in the community of Portola Hills in Lake forest last month. Remember the TV show The OC... it was scripted show about life in Orange County.. though entertaining a little far off base when it came to 80% of the county when it comes to attitude. However the one thing it did highlight well was some of the beautiful homes we have in the area and how beautiful the area is. Orange County is a sought-after area and with that demand continues to drive the real estate market. March has silently left us and we are now mid-month into April. Tax Time!! Often during this period we see in Orange County a slight increase in the number of homes available for sale. But looking at the Orange County market a substantial number of homes would need to come on the market to curb the current demand of Home Buyers! We have officially entered into Fall in Portola Hills... Halloween has just passed and Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner. But I have to say Fall is my favorite season in PH... Why the weather begins to crisp up, the house is decorated cozy and I can put on a nice pot of soup or something else yummy. It just feels "homey" time to me!!
