It's here, our monthly look back at how the real estate market performed in Portola Hills this past month. In July we saw a shift in the market but certainly not a down shift. What we are seeing is buyer traffic slowing down a bit and homes staying on the market a bit longer. The average days on the market in July for Portola Hills was 46. In terms of price gains.. I guess no complaints there, with an average 20% increase from July 2015. Below is a quick look at how the markt performed.

Here in South Orange County, we have several new communities popping up. Locally we have Baker Ranch, The Oaks at Portola Hills, Skyridge in Mission Viejo, Camden Square in Foothill Ranch just to name few. This is good, as resale inventory is very tight. However, it is also an area that Home Buyers often do not think they can use a Realtor to assist them with finding a home or to negotiate terms. Buyers often will pop in as they are driving around, fall in love and then maybe contact their local agent once they decided or have placed … (2 comments)

A new home development is coming to Mission Viejo! If you have drove by it you are probably thinking really Mission Viejo, isn't this Portola Hills or Trabuco Canyon. This area of South Orange County was annexed into Mission Viejo back in 2013. Grading started shortly after but then was delayed till recently and is now in full progress with a anticipated launch in Summer 2016.
