Be sure to turn on your porch lights and remove any pets that may scare the small children.
My favorite as a child was always chocolate and I would eat that first.
Apples I would throw away! LOL
The weather might be a little chilly but no rain predicted.

richmond: Take A Scenic Drive To Valley View Ferry - KY 169 - Tates Creek Rd - Kentucky - 08/20/10 03:32 PM
The most fun way to drive to Lexington KY from Richmond KY is to take KY 169 (Tates Creek Rd) to Valley View and ride the famous ferry across the Kentucky River.
Every creek in Kentucky has a road beside it. Well... not all, but most of them do.
Kentucky is second behind Alaska for the state with the most waterways. How did the roads develop? I have to wonder if they first had Indians and settlers walking along them to get to the next settlement.
The paths became wider over time with wagons and carriages. Later were paved in asphalt to … (4 comments)

richmond: Paradise Cove - Richmond Kentucky A Slippery Piece Of Heaven - 06/10/10 12:42 PM
Paradise Cove - Richmond Kentucky A Slippery Piece Of Heaven

Finally, Richmond Kentucky has a public pool! It's called Paradise Cove and is located in Gibson Bay. It features a fabulous eight-lane diving pool with two, one-meter diving boards, a children's pool, two 40-foot tall slides, a wide slide and a small butterfly slide for the small tykes.

There is talk of adding a lazy river in Paradise Cove and another slide at a later date. It just wouldn't fit into the original budget. Even though the weather has been a bit cool, the pool is a welcome sight to Madison County … (6 comments)

The paths became wider over time with wagons and carriages. Later were paved in asphalt to become our modern day roads.
One of my favorite ones is Tates Creek Road between Richmond and Lexington.

richmond: Springtime Central Kentucky Tour With Relocation Clients - 04/21/08 05:20 PM
Today, I spent a lot of time on the road with some clients that wanted to look at a few homes off the beaten trail. The home tour took us through some of the most beautiful horse farms, creeks, rock formations and colorful blooming trees and flowers.
As my clients looked around each listing I wandered around and took some random photos with my razor phone.
Here's a bit of what I saw today in Versailles, Nonesuch and Nicholasville, Kentucky. On the way home I crossed over the Kentucky River on the Valley View Ferry to get back to Richmond.
What a … (8 comments)

richmond: Clients are Enjoying Lizette's World - Central Kentucky Tour - 03/12/08 07:16 AM
In the past few weeks I have been touring with clients all over Central Kentucky.
I have been in Lexington, Richmond, Paris, Winchester,Harrodsburg, Versailles, Midway, Frankfort, Berea, Waco & Paint Lick. All of these places have been toured with clients that are relocating to Kentucky.
Many clients found me on the Internet Lizette.us or Activerain.com/ky and trusted me to help them find the perfect home in Central Kentucky. Some were referred by other clients.
Some called me from one of my listing signs. Maybe that particular house wasn't the one, but we are working on finding the right one to suit … (2 comments)

richmond: I Should Walk 24 Hours In Your Shoes - 12/09/07 12:42 AM
What if you could trade lives with a stranger for 24 hours?
Clothes, identification, cell phone, houses, partners, jobs, family and secrets?
What would you discover about them? About yourself?
While I was having my morning coffee, I was reading an article in the New York Post about a heterosexual, 28-year-old Italian artist that traded lives for 24 hours to be gay and Greek.
It made me think about how it would work in all our communities to discover how we could help one another.
What would someone feel after being me for 24 hours? Would they feel tortured? Bored? Happy? Sad?
How would I feel … (22 comments)

richmond: Kentucky Kitten Needs a Home - 05/28/07 02:20 AM
I escaped from neighbors that moved away. (I really think they left me behind.)
A few houses down I scampered onto the yard of a Realtor that was watering some flowers. My sister had done the same thing the other night and now she is living the life of a princess with one of her clients! They named her Picassa.
I am hoping that the same thing will happen for me. I was kinda scared when this picture was taken. My eyes are green and my other front leg is all white. I'm healthy and loveable as you can see.
