Living in a Storybook home in Sonoma County's Historical District - Why are we Selling?
As a realtor of over 30 years, I know a wonderful house when I see it. Forgive me if this may sound egotistical but I will let you all judge for yourselves...I have just put my own house on the market (I have a partner who will step in to negotiate)

Selling the Family Vintage Home in Sonoma, Calif. and Surviving.
I have just spent three months with my husband, daughter, pet schnauzer (Neddie) preparing to sell the family home and downsize into a more simple home with less upkeep, less maintenance, less taxes other words LESS of everything.

Animal Shelters are always under financial pressure and they, and other, non-profit organizations are having an especially hard time in an economy that is 8 to 9 million jobs short of full- employment!
People, facing an uncertain economic future, naturally cut back on giving to private charities. That is why, those of us who are fortunate enough to have some measure of security maintain our support and hopefully expand it.
In lieu of Christmas presents this year our family and friends are going to exchange contributions to organizations like Heifer International, the Humane Society and food banks.

Every fall Sonoma County has two weekends that are devoted to the local artists in our community. The event falls on the weekends of Oct. 10-11 and Oct. 17-18 this year. We are so fortunate to have a community of talented artists in such a wide variety of media. Sculptors, painters, lithographers, ornamental printing etc. and one of the special appeals of this event is that participating artists display their works and discuss their techniques and interests in their own studios and workshops.
