gulf shores: National Shrimp Festival

This weekend marked the 37th year for the National Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. I can remember when they had the first one - it was a small little event with a local recipe contest and a "Miss Sunny" beauty pagent. My how times have changed! Now it is one of the most popular festivals in the south featuring live bands, wonderful seafood, arts and crafts, children's activities and so much more.
