farmington ct: Joey Garlics Restaurant, Farmington Ct - 01/08/11 01:56 AM
Just a quick post to let everyone know about one of my favorite restaurants.  It is Joey Garlic's in Farmington Ct.  They also have other locations in Ct such as Rocky Hill and Canton, but this one is the best since it's in my town.
Pictured here is the cheeseburger, a mouth watering slab of hand ground beef that is to die for!  It is so delicate that it melt in your mouth.  Another favorite of mine is the Goat Cheese Salad.  It is a mountain of salad greens with a round of toasted goat cheese sprinkled with chopped pistachios and honey.  IT … (6 comments)

farmington ct: Vermont Inn Tours, A Holiday Getaway! - 12/29/10 10:50 PM

One of my favorite holiday traditions is to visit Vermont for their annual Holiday Inn Tours.  Selected Inn's are tastefully decorated for the holidays and scattered through out Manchester Vermont.  It is a wonderful way to get in the spirit of things and to get away and do a little shopping.
We stayed at the Inn at Manchester, which is a beautiful home owned by Innkeepers Frank and Julie Hanes.  They are a wonderful and accomodating couple who cooked the most delicious Sunday Breakfast ever.  Thanks Inn at Manchester for a lovely time.

farmington ct: No Sugar for the Holidays!?!?!?!? - 12/04/10 10:59 PM
Give up sugar for the holiday season?  Am I crazy?  Maybe I am crazy, or maybe I just want to stop my sugar cravings by going cold turkey!  This holiday season is known for get togethers, festivities and lots of sugary sweets.  Typically, if there is chocolate perched out there for consumption, I have been known to take a taste or heck, the whole thing.  Reducing my sugar intake is a personal challenge that I have chosen to embark on during this season.  The testing of will power is at stake here and I hope I can make it through the … (3 comments)

farmington ct: The Hill-Stead Museum, Farmington CT - 11/21/10 12:21 PM
The Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington Ct is one of the most beautiful places to go and spend a few hours.  Built in 1901, it houses famous pieces of art from the masters Monet, Manet, Cassat and Whistler..to name a few.  It also has the loveliest grounds around-from rolling meadows to formal a formal english garden.
As you can imagine, it is a wonderful spot for picture taking, both casual and posed.  I often take my daughter there and take pictures in the gardens.  It is impeccably maintained and the Hill-Stead holds events here such as the famous "Sunken Garden Poetry Festival", … (4 comments)

farmington ct: Timeline for Home Purchasing-For Your Clients - 11/21/10 11:45 AM
Good Evening All!  Having worked with many first time home buyers, I took it upon myself to write up a "Homebuying Timeline".  Many times Buyer's don't know which step is next which can be confusing and frustrating for them.  I jotted down 10 steps to homebuying from submitting and offer to closing and gave them to my Buyers.  They have told me that it was handy to have since they could look it over and see what was coming down the road.  Please tweak it if you need and share it with your Buyers.
