halloween: It's almost Halloween 2014 - 10/30/14 01:32 PM

I get so excited every year when it comes time for Donald to carve the jack o lanterns.  He's so good at it. He whips them out beautifully.  Okay whips them out is an exageration, when he's done he's exhausted, but I'm baking cookies. And when we're all done with Halloween I'll take him out for a wonderful dinner.  
If you're local, come by my office tomorrow to see the pumpkins in person and get a bit of candy and cookies.

halloween: Halloween, pumpkin carving, bookcase building, and wondering why she called. - 10/30/11 02:41 PM
My recent vacation was great.  I was so happy to get to spend some time with family.  It also made me realize that if I'm NOT at my office the world isn't going to end.
So I took this weekend off.  It was busy.  Friday I worked just a little late.  My desk had gotten deep since vacation and I was determined to get it back to an orderly chaos.  I had a home inspection.  There were some minor "things", but nothing that would frighten my buyer away.  Then it was a lovely dinner, sad though.  Donald took me to Sylvia's.  … (10 comments)

halloween: One scary pumpkin, one charming trick or treater! - 11/01/08 10:29 AM
Halloween is my Donald's very favorite holiday.  I used to think it was the chocolate, but after a few years I figured out it was the Jack-O-Lantern.  He loves to carve and put the pumpkin out every single year.  He also makes sure it is lit all night long. 
Okay with the flash his Jack isn't so scary, but I always love that he picks pumpkins that every one else leaves behind, so what if it won't sit flat on it's bottom.  He just works with whatever shape we find.  I loved the one this year.  Soon it's going to be … (22 comments)
