Real Estate Scam in Florida?
 

Yesterday I wrote about a couple in Florida who paid $458,000 for a condo at Ram-Sea in North Redington Beach in a foreclosure auction. Today the Tampa Bay Times has a follow-up story that an emergency motion has been filed stating in part that the couple's money should be returned due to "unauthorized conduct, misconduct and fraudulent acts."
We sympathize with the couple. How were they to know this would happen? That this could happen?
Nevertheless they may be out of money for legal fees to get their $458,000 back. Like I wrote about yesterday there is one condominium … (1 comments)

This story made headlines today in the Tampa Bay Times. Some like to ridicule real estate agents and REALTORS (R) but this is a classic case of Buyer Beware. While foreclosure auctions can be lucrative for some, there may be liens on the property. In this case the bank had a superior first mortgage.
