October in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach means perfect weather, bountiful fishing, and three major events along with several local events. One of my favorite months here is also a great month for you to visit!
Kick off the month of October with a visit to the 61st annual Baldwin County Fair and continue the fun with at least one major event each week for the rest of the month. In years past, Orange Beach and Gulf Shores may have been the recipients of aid when dealing with the effects of hurricanes or the oil spill.  Residents and visitors alike rallied to come to the aid of Alabama neighbors dealing with the devastation of the April 27 tornadoes.
