I am sure that if you yourself has not had braces you know at least 10 people who had the lovely things in their mouth for an extended period of time. All the kids have then and now even lots of adults are getting them too. Yesterday our 11 year old had to go get his spacers, next week come the actual braces. Everyone knows that patients should avoid foods that are sticky, hard or chewy. They should also avoid any food and drinks that are known to cause cavities.
