nashville real estate: I Want More Smart Buyers
- 09/03/10 04:20 AM
I want more smart buyers. You know the ones I'm talking about, they usually do a lot of research before they buy anything, they visit a lot of open houses to get a feel for the area, and then they decide to go the next step. If they are really smart, they hire a local real estate expert, instead of thinking they are the expert. Let's face it, we all get buyers who sound like they know what they are talking about, and sometimes they do, but it's usually just buzz words. (we get those with supposed SEO experts too). But when

nashville real estate: Who Doesn't Understand Broker Reciprocity
- 07/02/10 09:46 AM
I just had to laugh. Mike Nastri called me yesterday to let me know that a local broker had been accusing him of violating our advertising rules. It seems that Mike had written a blog last year about one of the smaller local condo developments in Franklin, and he added a search button so that anyone interested could see the properties listed in the MLS. Well it seems the the listing agent didn't understand that all of us can show the properties available in the MLS as long as we follow the broker reciprocity guidelines laid out by NAR and our local association.

nashville real estate: Speechless Sunday - The Nashville Flood
- 05/02/10 05:05 AM
Boats will soon be in great demand in Nashville, because cars will not be of any use soon here. It does amaze me that some people still don't understand that cars will not move forward while they are floating. Trucks don't seem to have the same problem, but if you run off the road because you can't see it, you will be in 10 ft of water. The news media in Nashville has gone off the deep end also, and for 24 hours all we've seen from the local channels is rain and flooding. P.S don't by a used car that was

nashville real estate: Obsessive Cleaning can Sell Your Home
- 03/05/10 02:08 PM
While viewing a Nashville luxury home that was absolutely spotless, I heard the comment that if the house was this clean, you would expect all of the mechanicals the be perfect also. Other realtors seem to agree, buyers associate clean homes with well maintained homes, and are willing to pay a little more for it. So if you plan to sell a home in Nashville, have a professional cleaner come before the stager. It will be worth the money.
