How do you make it through the Winter?
Real Estate seems to be an up and down profession.  When I started out in Real Estate School in 2009, I was told that business died in the Winter months in this part of the country, with sub zero temperatures, snow and ice.  So, how do I get through those months from December to April?
After becoming a Real Estate Agent, I found that it is not as bad as I was told.  Here is why!

During the other three seasons, there are lots of "LOOKERS", meaning men, women and entire families who have discovered:

The Aftermath of Christmas! Don't turn Happiness into a tragedy
The excitement of Christmas to children explodes when it's time to open the presents. In our family, my wife and I buy for each other, but all the adults decided to only buy for the children.  When you have a large family, the cost of gift giving Can be overwhelming. Christmas is not just about what gifts everyone will buy you, although it is for many of the Children.
When it is all over and you have a pile of wrappings, the local police recommend that you cut up boxes, such as TVs, stereos etc.. … (10 comments)

buy or sell a home: Elkhart Winterfest 2013 Christmas Parade, Santa brought the North Pole - 12/08/13 01:21 PM
Elkhart Winterfest 2013 Christmas Parade, Santa brought the North Pole.
Even though it was 17 degrees with a stiff wind, spectators stood along Main Street in Elkhart to get glimpses of the marching groups from various organizations, floats, decorated vehicles, more floats and of course all the snow queens and Santa himself.

As Santa flew into town, he brought a bit of the north pole with him.

You couldn't tell it was cold, with all the yelling and cheering as the parade went by.

And then there was the Jolly ol' Fella himself, just as we remembered him, sitting … (10 comments)

The last of the fall colors before the Dead of Winter.
In Elkhart, Indiana, my favorite time of year is Autumn, because the humidity has left, the temperature has dropped to a comfortable degree, and the Fall colors shine against the reflections of the sun. I took some photos to share with you that is along the edge of my property and along one of the nearby roads.

I never thought of it until I was ready to write this post, but the phrase "Dead of Winter" doesn't mean that the snow is 2 feet high and it is in the middle … (4 comments)

Why is the house shaking?  Let's get out of here!!!
I know that the Real Estate Agent is always looking for that phone call that says, "I have this gorgeous home with 10 acres and 20,000 sq ft with 5 bedrooms and 3 baths, and I had a professional come in and decorate it and do outside landscaping.....  Blah, Blah, Blah, for a 3 Million dollars. Will you list it for me?

That is what we all strive for in this profession, but what if it were at the other end of the spectrum and the house is along side a set … (6 comments)
