Since the mid 1800s, the property, known as "North Main Street Well Field", has been a source of hydraulic energy and drinking water for the City of Elkhart. There are still 13 wells on the site that provide the majority of drinking water for the community.
In 2002, The Elkhart Rotary Club birth the idea to use the property to educate people about the uses of water for the communities and the benefits to nature.

The Chief, located in Goshen, Indiana is in its 54th Season of serving home made ice cream to the community. The Ice Cream and fast food shop opened April 18th with about 17 - 18 flavors of ice cream, including names like "Coffee Break", "Muddy Sneaker" and "Ant Farm".
In 2015 they were Featured on the National List of the 33 Best Ice Cream Shops in America by Thrillist, siting the excellent flavor options, nostalgia, innovation and variey.

Finally, those racing fans eager to enjoy local racing will be able to start the new season at the 1/4 mile asphalt track at the New Paris Speedway, on County Road 46 , just east of New Paris. The opening night will feature a 75 lap Late Model Sportsman, HS, MS, FWD vehicles.

$12 and $3 for kids
I remember going to the New Paris Speedway back in the 1950s watching our sponsored race car compete. I remember many of the tracks being a clay track back then.
