Wellesley, MA Residential Housing Report July 2012, this summer has been sizzling in real estate. The long awaited resurgence of the industry it helping to drive the economy.  Prices are still low, but creeping upwards this last month, and the interest rates, still historically low, are threatening to move up. Industry thinking is that when the interest rates move, they will do so quickly and dramatically.  Wellesley MA had a total of 171 listed homes in the Active, Under Agreement, Sold, Expired and Canceled on the MLS. The news has been overall good the last month or so.  The National Association of Realtors, Mass association and Realtors and several other sources are reporting good statistics for the country.  The Boston Area has done better through this downturn than most of the country, but these numbers last month for Wayland are dismal.  With the Days on Market going up and up in almost all categories is not great news.  Looking at the average list price of $1,408,863 and the sales and under agreement prices of $591,557 and $757000 you can see why some properties are just sitting.

Weston, MA 02493 Single Family Housing Report Dec 2011 shows there were only 87 homes that show up in the Active, Under Agreement, Sold, Expired and Canceled lists for this month. That is down from the last couple of months. Reports in the media show that the slide of housing prices is coming to an end, something that Weston has seen already. With the election season upon us we can expect that there will be some work getting done in DC and that is good. Jobs and housing should be at the top of every politicians list. Now to the numbers.

Right now in Weston there are a lot of homes on the market with not too much movement towards closing.
