wordless wednesday: All The Jersey Shore Needs is Two Days of Summer Temperatures! - 04/10/13 05:26 AM
All The Jersey Shore Needs is Two Days of Summer Temperatures!
At the Jersey Shore we were, throughout the winter months, hibernating and focusing on the damage caused by Super Storm Sandy.  Well, we've now had two days, temp over 80, and we've got attitude.  Summer's in the air and we're ready!
Played around with the 'white balance' of my Olympus digital SLR today, and obviously I have much more work to do!
I'm a REALTOR® at the Jersey Shore, I have all summer to work on the photos while I helping buyers and sellers accomplish their goals

wordless wednesday: The Pinelands Before Sunrise (Wordless Wednesday) - 01/09/13 05:48 AM

Early morning is the most peaceful time in the Pine Barrens at the Jersey Shore.  No phones and few people around! It's a perfect time for a walk, to reflect and then plan the day.
"Nothing is more beautiful than the loveliness of the woods before sunrise."

wordless wednesday: Getting Back to Normal - Post Sandy at the Jersey Shore! (Wordless Wednesday) - 11/14/12 08:22 AM
I thought I'd share some photos of the Jersey Shore.  We're cleaning up, but there's a lot left to do.
Barnegat Municipal Dock Parking Lot on Sunday, October 28thThe Storm wasn't even here yet! (That's the Barnegat Bay on the other side of the Pavillion.) Little Egg Harbor's Osborn Island Tuesday, October 30This was the first time they let cars and residents back onto Osborn Island.  Floating docks were everywhere but the lagoons where they below. The clean up continues! What's left of one Bay front home in Barnegat … (10 comments)

wordless wednesday: Lunching al Fresco! - 10/24/12 08:31 AM
With a chill in the air at the Jersey Shore, I took advantage of what might be one of the last picnic days of 2012.
I dined at a picnic table with a view of the Manahawkin Lake, and the great fall colors.
I guess I made the ducks hungry, they were having lunch too!

wordless wednesday: Locals Take Back Long Beach Island! - 10/17/12 12:12 AM
I realize that the Jersey Shore economy needs summer visitors.  That's not to say I'm sad to see them leave! My favorite time of year at the Jersey Shore is when the traffic lights on Long Beach Island are just blinking and there's a chill in the air.  That's when I can visit the beach and the Barnegat Light House  with very few people around!

wordless wednesday: Butterfly Bonanza! (Wordless Wednesday) - 09/12/12 07:07 AM
There's is beauty everywhere...

"Sometimes it seems like God is difficult to find and impossibly far away. We get so caught up in our small daily duties and irritations that they become the only things that we can focus on. What we forget is that God's love and beauty are all around us, every day, if only we would take the time to look up and see them." - Matthias-

At the Jersey Shore...It's Not All About the Ocean (or Snooki)!

As with any resort community, there are times you can and times you can't!

For example, today I had meetings in Waretown at the Jersey Shore and when finished, another meeting an hour later in Little Egg Harbor (also at the Jersey Shore).  I couldn't make it to the mighty Atlantic.

I could have stopped at my home office, but I decided to take in part of the reason everybody wants to live at the Jersey Shore!

I'm proud to say the Jersey Shore … (7 comments)

wordless wednesday: Take Time to Look At Things Like a Kid! - 08/21/12 11:36 PM

Take Time to Look At Things Like a Kid!

I remember growing up in the Great Swamp in north Jersey.  We rode horses, stayed out until the street lights came on and made up scary stories about Swamp dwellers.  Those Swamp dwellers could be lurking in the Black Brook, or in trees...

This is not located in the Great Swamp, but the Cloverdale Farm Park in Barnegat at the Jersey Shore.

Looking at it through a kid's eye, looks like Mothra to me!

Put away snow blower…Tune up lawnmower…Turn on outside water…Clean up planting beds…Design vegetable garden layout…Get out deck furniture…Clean deck furniture…

I’m sure I’m forgetting something…Oh, that’s it…take some time to admire an early spring at the Jersey Shore!

wordless wednesday: A Hard Day's Night - What Do You See in the Dark? (Wordless Wednesday) - 09/07/11 01:32 AM
A Hard Day's Night - What Do You See in the Dark?
A new pup changes your schedule...so it's up and out of bed in the middle of the night sometimes!  It's amazing what you'll find in the dark!
I left this guy (or gal) alone then did a little research.  I think it's a Garden Orb-Weaving Spider common in gardens and not aggressive.  Best of all it's not toxic.   However a spider ID chart I discovered said, "Be careful not to walk into their webs at night - the fright of this spider crawling over one's face can … (12 comments)

wordless wednesday: It's a Great Day! (Wordless Wednesday) - 05/25/11 11:47 AM
Today was a great day.  I stole a half hour and went to the beach, just one of the benefits of living at the Jersey Shore.  The water was a little rough, but it was lovely.   The crowds haven't arrived yet, however there plenty of people fishing, and all those north Jersey high school students cutting school to go Down the Shore!
I'm usually a Surf City or Ship Bottom kind of gal, but today's photos are from Long Beach Township
The Ocean was a little rough But it was so blue   I could have stayed for hours! There's just … (16 comments)

wordless wednesday: NAR® Leaves Me Speechless - 04/20/11 01:34 AM
NAR® Leaves Me Speechless
I got my April/May issue of REALTOR® magazine today, the self touted 'Business Tool for Real Estate Professionals'.  I read the cover and was irked and a little surprised.
Did you read it? Duh, so NAR® does know we're doing more with less.  But they're still asking for more!  I guess what's good for the goose, isn't always good for the gander!
I could go on, but you've already heard my 2¢.

wordless wednesday: The Signs of Spring at the Jersey Shore! - 04/13/11 03:28 AM
Spring is a time of renewal. Bulbs planted last fall, hidden for months under snow covered frozen ground, are emerging.  A sure sign winter's done...
Finally! But another sure sign of spring at the Jersey Shore, new home construction! New homes in Manahawkin at the Jersey Shore! Let's hope spring and summer 2011 offers renewed home buyer interest at the Jersey Shore!

wordless wednesday: Home Buyers Aren't the Only Flock in Town! (Wordless Wednesday?) - 03/16/11 09:16 AM
Home buyers are flocking to the Jersey Shore!  These fellows are looking for a Little Egg Harbor waterfront home for sale.  Someplace to raise a family!

It's an annual rite of spring, the housing market heats up as soon as the thermometer inches past 40 degrees.  Everybody is thinking about going down the Shore!
Why not get your own nest at the Jersey Shore?
There are plenty of homes for sale in Little Egg Harbor at the Jersey Shore and prices have no where to go but up!  So what are you waiting for? Want a list of waterfront … (11 comments)

wordless wednesday: Do You Just Take the Afternoon, Or the Day? Wordless(?) Wednesday - 03/02/11 07:14 AM
You can tell spring is near!  The temperature as I write is 55 degrees at the Jersey Shore!  The forecast says we'll be below freezing before nightfall, but the weekend promises more warm weather.   So at this time of year, you get out when you can!  I wonder if these people developed headaches at lunchtime, or took the whole day to bask in much awaited spring sunshine! Laura's Lake, Manahawkin NJ (That's not the real name, I just call it Lake Laura and you can too, if there's no tax liability!!)

wordless wednesday: Working on Green-Wordless Wendesday - 02/23/11 07:44 AM

Southern Ocean County, NJ is where the Jersey Shore meets the Pinelands.  New Jersey's Pine Barrens are a treasure, and as close as the Barnegat Bay and the sands of Long Beach Island.  This time of year, before the snow has melted and the spring flowers make their appearance the Pinelands are quiet...all you can hear is the scrub pines working on green!

wordless wednesday: Hump Day-Wordless Wednesday - 01/25/11 10:45 PM
It's Wednesday morning...Hump Day (if there is such a thing in real estate)! While I love living at the Jersey Shore, this time of year I think about the sun warming my old bones on a beach somewhere.  Feet buried in the hot sand, sun glasses and a a good book.  No such luck, at least for another few months. This is what we woke up to this morning...could be 7 inches or more by the time it's done tomorrow morning!  It's just wet and sloppy now.
