Think about the location and type of second home you want to buy. A town home or condominium may be an attractive option and require less upkeep, but association dues are often more expensive with those types of properties.

Dana Point Elephant Parade ends soon Haven't made it down to Dana Point to check out the Asian elephants displayed throughout the beach, harbor and plaza? Don't delay - November 16 is their last day in Orange County. They will be in their current locations until Thursday, then they will be moving to Lantern Bay Park in preparation for the goodbye ceremonies on November 16. Last week, a potential buyer became offended when I declined to show him one of my south Orange County listings. Now, I want to show my listings. I want everyone in the world to see how wonderful they are – online. I post lots of pictures and good descriptions on every real estate website I can find. I dedicate a website to the property. But when it comes to unlocking the door to someone’s home and allowing a stranger to walk through it, I am much more particular. Finally, finally! Summer has arrived in Orange County! Lucky for us that summer goes on into October in Southern California. The Orange County Fair started today,with so many delectably decadent goodies to try that you should probably make a cardiology appointment for the next day. Yum! In San Clemente, this is the weekend of the Ocean Festival, a celebration of everything that makes it good to live here.
