Should homeowners and investors lose the tax deduction they now enjoy they would have to recalculate the value of ownership. I dont think it would bode well for property prices and it would certainly reduce the amount of disposable household income putting downward pressure on consumer spending during already frugal times.

has a job has not been late on their mortgage payment in the last 12 months is current on their state and federal taxes  
GETS THEIR INTEREST RATE MODIFIED TO 4% FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS.

Fannie Mae is determined to tearing down the barriers to deliver on the American Dream.
What does this mean.  How have you torn down barriers?  By lending money to those with poor -- or bad credit?  By extending loans to people who could never possibly repay their debt?
It is true that Fannie Mae has lent more money to more minorities and more underserved individuals than any single company in history.

"We are writing to inform you that we recently became aware that a Countrywide employee (now former) may have sold unauthorized personal information about you to a third party.  Based upon a joint investigation conducted by Countrywide and law enforcement this authorities, it was determined that the customer information involved in this incident included your name, address, Social Security number, loan number and various other loan application information."
Aint that swell?
I expect this same letter has gone out to many others as well. anybody else get one of these today?

Damn!  It's a friggin MARKET MELTDOWN!  Looks like America is going to hell in a handbag.
Right now FRE is down 33% to $5.32 and FNM is down 31% to $9.08
FRE was $63.00 just last October. NOW ITS A PENNY STOCK!

Downpayment Assistance Programs (DAPs) which are funded with seller contributions to the buyer will be discontinued by HUD.
Translation: Less chance of buyers qualifying for loans 
I dont see it as good news for buyers or lenders.  Is anyone doing these kind of loans and will it have an effect on YOUR business?
