Mark your calendars for the Blairsville Scottish Festival & Highland Games for this weekend, June 9th and 10th! Each year the Scottish Festival is started off on Friday with the Kilted Golf Classic at Butternut Creek Golf Course and the Ceilidh Dinner.
Saturday and Sunday follow and are filled with the sounds of bagpipes, drums and the colorful display of flags and tartans throughout the lovely setting along the creek at Meeks Park in Blairsville, GA.

Pappy's Riverside Restaurant is located on the Nottely River in Blairsville Ga. This rustic restaurant is known for its Old South Traditional Slow Smoked Bar-B-Que, as well as aged Char Broiled Steaks. But today we were headed to Pappy's for breakfast, and get some of the best pancakes around. Of course that will be on top of our eggs, biscuit, gravy, fried potatoes and plenty of hot coffee for this chilly December morning.
