Machaceh Rescue Farm in Hayesville, NC is a nonprofit family based ministry that aids in the help and care of abused, neglected or unwanted animals. I found the Rescue Farm while previewing a home over in Clay County, NC and passed this great painted barn and just had to stop and take a photo of it. That’s when I met Michelle Updike and she invite me in for a tour and introduced me to some of the animals there. Michelle’s passion for these animals is contagious. Coldwell Banker High Country in Murphy, NC had a great turn out for the Caravan today! The weather was gorgeous again as eleven agents headed out to preview some of our great listings here in Murphy and Hayesville, North Carolina and Hiawasse, GA. We saw homes with wonderful views, one on the Hiwassee River with great Fly Fishing just out your back yard and one with a beautiful waterfall! Hayesville, NC has a little of the "big city" going for it even out in the country. Bet you didn't know we had our very own Statue of Liberty here in the western North Carolina mountains. On your way down to the new Clay County Courthouse you'll get to see our country version of Lady Liberty watching over the fields. Just another sight you'll see as you drive along the countryside and another reason we love living here!

The weather here in Murphy, NC is just gorgeous! It's a perfect day for a Sunday drive anywhere here in the mountains.
