leesa finley: Dear Seller - I Know Your Home is Family Friendly But I Just Can't Say That - 06/28/10 12:05 AM
Dear Seller - I Know Your Home is Family Friendly But I Just Can't Say That While your home may be prefect for a large family, in a quiet, family neighborhood and right across the street from the Catholic church I just can't say that.  Your home may be right in the middle of the financial district, near public transportation and have a free membership to the gym making it ideal for a working professional but I just can't say that.  You see, there is the Federal Fair Housing Act that I must adhere to that strictly prohibits discriminatory preference against: … (178 comments)

leesa finley: What percentage of Short Sales close? - 06/13/10 12:29 PM
First of all, Bryant Tutas is nothing less than brilliant!  While this post may be geared more toward Real Estate Agents I felt that it's content would also benefit buyers and sellers that are either in the middle of a short sale transaction or considering one. I know that I, personally, am involved in one currently and have the most PATIENT Buyers one could ask for.  It has been difficult, there have been no clear answers and nothing is black and white - there is a LOT of gray!  I agree with Bryant that it takes patience above all and it … (8 comments)

leesa finley: "The Devil is in the Details" When It Comes to Selling Your Home! - 06/11/10 06:00 PM
I was out this week previewing homes for some clients I have coming in next week.  I am a firm believer in previewing homes BEFORE you actually take your clients through.  Why don't more agents do that I wonder?
Anyhow, all of the homes were similar in size, price, private back yards and in close proximity to each other.  All of the homes would fit my clients needs nicely.
What surprised me with each of the homes was that they had another similarity.  They were all a "little" dirty.  Now, let me explain a "little" dirty.  It was obvious in each … (133 comments)
