Calls From SantaThursday, December 13; 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 12 AT 5 P.M. Children, ages 3-7, can receive a personal phone call from Santa this Christmas. Parents may pick up a Calls from Santa form from the Wake Forest Parks & Recreation office, located in the Wake Forest Town Hall or download one here. All forms must be returned by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13. There is no charge, but all calls must be local calls. For more information, call (919) 554-6180.

Don't forget - The Wake Forest Christmas Parade is this Saturday (Dec 8th) starting at 1:00pm!!!  Get there early and scope out your prime seat for what I am sure will be the best Christmas Parade yet!  My family never misses this.  Load up the thermos' with hot chocolate and enjoy the festivites.
While downtown don't forget to explore all the shops in the downtown area.  Great gift shops and delicious restaurants abound - have fun!
I hope to see you there this year - just remember, bundle up and take blankets or chairs to sit on.

Did you make it out? Better yet, did you make it out alive?Linville was swarming with people this past weekend! I felt somewhat sorry for the actual residents there. I arrived early both days and you could just see the full-time residents filter out of the neighborhood for the day to avoid the mass of people driving through and the tour buses on route. There was one bus with 43 people that showed up in Linville.From my perspective it was a huge success!
