This weekend is a special weekend here in the Coachella Valley of Southern California. Both Stagecoach, a premier country music event, and The White Party, the largest gay dance music festival in the world according to the official event page, are being held at opposite ends of the valley. STAGECOACH California's Country Music Festival known as Stagecoach is being held April 25-27 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. It is produced by Golden Voice and AEG Live! Well it is Friday and it has rained through the night which we really needed we hardly had any rain this winter. I love it the next morning after it rains because the mountains are covered with snow and it is so pretty. We have lots of visitors in town because the tennis tournament is going on in Indian Wells. I had dinner last night at one of my favorite restaurants, Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine. I love this restaurant they have great food, atmosphere and most of all great service! If you haven't made your reservations for Valentine's Day yet try Roy's you will not be disappointed. They are preparing a menu with Love and Passion for an evening of romance. In fact for the month of February they have a special couples menu every night. They have a great happy hour they call the Aloha Hour with $6.00 drinks and appetizers, one of the best deals in town. Are you looking for things to do this week in Palm Desert, here are a few things that I think will be a lot of fun! On Feb. 13th there is a Certified Farmers Market at the Chamber of Commerce parking lot from 8-12:30. The Chamber is located right next to the PS Art Museum in Palm Desert, the cross streets are Hwy 111 and El Paseo (right across the street from our lovely office). El Paseo had it's once a month Art Walk on Thursday night and the street was packed with all of the wonderful snowbirds and local residents. That is such a nice thing to do to go to all the art galleries.
We had much needed rain on Friday here in the desert and lots of snow on the mountains. The tour de Palm Springs was this past weekend and there were so many people in town for that!
