What Does The "Second Wave of Foreclosures in Northern Virginia" Really Mean??
Inspired by a comprehensive post by Roy Kelley yesterday, Second Wave of Foreclosures in Maryland, I always have a thirst for numbers.   I posted the latest numbers for foreclosures listed for sale in the Maryland suburbs.  
 
Below is a breakdown of ALL HOMES FOR SALE / FORECLOSURES/REO properties in Northern Virginia counties.
 
Now the task will be to remember to check back and see what the difference is a month from now, or two months from now.

Foreclosures For Sale - 1,096.
Percent of Foreclosures - 5%
This information covers the Homefinders.com primary market area which includes:
Maryland - Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Charles, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, St. Mary's Counties.
Virginia - Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, King George, Loudoun,
Prince William, Stafford Counties.

I'm not acquainted with the details of the "foreclosure market" in other areas around the country.  However, I am quite aware of our foreclosure market and it appears that it is OVER.
Of course, the news is full of FORECLOSURES, FORECLOSURES, FORECLOSURES.

FORECLOSURES CAN BE A GOOD BUY.  THE BENEFITS CAN BE PRICE, QUICK OCCUPANCY, LOCATION.
