Buyers Beware: New regulations allow a lender to pull a second credit report immediately prior to closing. If a home buyer opens a new credit account or puts a big purchase on an existing credit line, this can affect negatively the credit score and debt to income ratio, potentially jeopardzing final approval of the loan.
