The process for home posession differs by province, and by city as well. In Lethbridge and area, we almost always do a walk-through, even if it is not written into the contract. Lawyers here have come to expect this. Normally, the walkthrough is done either the morning of possession, or the evening before. This is just to ensure that what is supposed to be left in the house is still there, and that there hasn’t been any damage to the house since the offer was accepted.
