Founded in 1911 by developer J. Frank Cullen, the community was named in honor of his wife's native Wales and many streets have English names. A later developer, German musician Victor Kramer added the "by-the-Sea". The community takes pride in its "walkability" with the beach, lagoon, restaurants, markets, post office, library, and other commercial services in easy walking distance to each other. Restaurant Row offers beach-side dining and a wide variety of choices, including Mexican, Italian and California Cuisine with an emphasis on seafood. It's things like this that let us sit back and appreciate what we have during such uncertain times. Here is a a paper my 1st grade son wrote in class yesterday: Boys Night Out Every Tuesday and Thursday i have boys night out with my dad because my mom goes to school. We often have cheese pizza and lemonade for dinner because its my favorite. one day we went to the mall and i won a baby sponge bob. i felt super happy because I always wanted one. boys night out is super fun.
